Hello everyone are Floriana Rossi, the creator of kitegirlsitalia and kitegirlsworldwide, two communities dedicated to kitesurfing enthusiasts in Italy and around the world.

Today I would like to tell you how this idea was born and how it developed over time.
It all started in 2013, when I discovered kitesurfing thanks to the school Amalficoastkiteboarding in the Amalfi Coast. Since then, kitesurfing has become for me not only a sport, but a lifestyle, made of wonderful moments, adrenaline and contact with nature.
I wanted to share this passion with other girls who like me loved this sport and so I created the kitegirlsitalia page on Instagram, where I started posting photos and videos of my adventures and interacting with other Italian kitegirls. The page immediately had a great success and reached more than 10 thousand followers in a few years.
In 2018 I decided to turn my passion into a profession and I took the diploma from kitesurfing instructor. So I started to organize camps for girls who wanted to learn or improve their level of kitesurfing, in collaboration with different schools and facilities in Italy and abroad. The camps were an opportunity to meet my followers in person, make new friends and have fun together.
I wanted to share this passion with other girls who like me loved this sport and so I created the kitegirlsitalia page on Instagram, where I started posting photos and videos of my adventures and interacting with other Italian kitegirls. The page immediately had a great success and reached more than 10 thousand followers in a few years. In 2018 I decided to turn my passion into a profession and I took the diploma from kitesurfing instructor. The camps were an opportunity to meet my followers in person, make new friends and have fun together.

In 2020 I registered the brand kitegirlsitalia, to give greater recognition and professionalism to my community. I also created a website 1, where I published articles, events, collaborations and products dedicated to Italian kitegirls.

In 2021 I realized my biggest dream: to create a global community that connects kitegirls from all over the world. Thus was born kitegirlsworldwide, a new Instagram reality where creativity and courage are rewarded, an oasis of peace where everyone can express themselves and share exclusive content of kitesurfing from different countries and continents. I also launched a YouTube 2 channel, where I uploaded videos of my adventures and camps around the world.

Today kitegirlsworldwide has more than 25 thousand followers on Instagram and more than 2 thousand subscribers on YouTube.

My goal is to grow this community, creating new opportunities for connection, training, fun and empowerment for kitegirls around the world.

Oggi vorrei raccontarvi come è nata questa idea e come si è sviluppata nel tempo.

Tutto è iniziato nel 2013, quando ho scoperto il kitesurf grazie alla scuola Amalficoastkiteboarding in Costiera Amalfitana. Da quel momento, il kitesurf è diventato per me non solo uno sport, ma uno stile di vita, fatto di momenti meravigliosi, adrenalina e contatto con la natura.

Ho voluto condividere questa passione con altre ragazze che come me amavano questo sport e così ho creato la pagina kitegirlsitalia su Instagram, dove ho iniziato a postare foto e video delle mie avventure e a interagire con altre kitegirls italiane. La pagina ha avuto subito un grande successo e ha raggiunto più di 10 mila follower in pochi anni.

Nel 2018 ho deciso di trasformare la mia passione in una professione e ho preso il brevetto da istruttrice di kitesurf. Ho iniziato così a organizzare dei camp per le ragazze che volevano imparare o migliorare il loro livello di kitesurf, in collaborazione con diverse scuole e strutture in Italia e all'estero. I camp sono stati un'occasione per conoscere di persona le mie follower, creare nuove amicizie e divertirci insieme.

Nel 2021 ho realizzato il mio sogno più grande: creare una community globale che connettesse le kitegirls di tutto il mondo. Così è nata kitegirlsworldwide, una nuova realtà Instagram dove la creatività ed il coraggio sono premiati, un'oasi di pace dove tutti possono esprimersi e condividere contenuti esclusivi di kitesurf provenienti da diversi paesi e continenti. Ho anche lanciato un canale YouTube 2, dove ho caricato video delle mie avventure e dei miei camp in giro per il mondo.

Oggi kitegirlsworldwide conta più di 25 mila follower su Instagram e più di 2 mila iscritti su YouTube.

Il mio obiettivo è quello di far crescere sempre di più questa community, creando nuove opportunità di connessione, formazione, divertimento e empowerment per le kitegirls di tutto il mondo.
