The Birth and Growth of KiteGirls: 

A Journey of Passion and Community 🇬🇧

Hi everyone, I'm Floriana Rossi, the founder of KiteGirlsItalia and KiteGirlsWorldwide — two communities dedicated to kitesurfing enthusiasts in Italy and around the world.

How It All Began

My journey started in 2013, when I discovered kitesurfing thanks to the school Amalficoastkiteboarding on the Amalfi Coast. Since then, kitesurfing has become much more than a sport to me — it's a lifestyle made of adrenaline, unforgettable moments, and a deep connection with nature.

Building a Community

To share this passion, I created the Instagram page KiteGirlsItalia, where I began posting photos and videos of my adventures and interacting with other Italian kitegirls. The page was an immediate success and grew quickly over time.

Turning Passion Into Purpose

In 2018, I became a certified kitesurfing instructor. I began organizing camps for girls who wanted to learn or improve their skills, collaborating with schools and centers in Italy and abroad. These camps were a special opportunity to meet people, build friendships, and have fun together.

Expanding the Vision

In 2021, I officially registered the brands KiteGirlsItalia and KiteGirlsWorldwide to give the communities stronger recognition and professionalism. I also began studying social media marketing and started collaborating with brands that share the same vision.

A Global Dream Come True

That dream kept growing, and in 2021 I created KiteGirlsWorldwide — 

a global Instagram community that celebrates the feminine spirit of our sport, creativity, courage, and the deep connection that nature gives us.

It's a peaceful space where kitegirls from all over the world share exclusive content and inspire each other. At the same time, I launched a YouTube channel where I share kite tips and travel stories from around the world.

Looking Ahead

Today, KiteGirlsWorldwide is present across all major social platforms, continuing to grow as a vibrant community that offers opportunities for connection, learning, fun, and empowerment for kitegirls worldwide.

This is only the beginning — and with everyone's support and energy, 

we hope to turn it into something truly beautiful and unique.

La nascita e la crescita del progetto kitegirls: un viaggio di passione e comunità

Ciao a tutti, sono Floriana Rossi, la creatrice di KiteGirlsItalia e KiteGirlsWorldwide — due community dedicate agli appassionati di kitesurf in Italia e nel mondo.

Come è iniziato tutto

Il mio percorso è iniziato nel 2013, quando ho scoperto il kitesurf grazie alla scuola Amalficoastkiteboarding sulla Costiera Amalfitana. Da allora, il kitesurf è diventato per me molto più di uno sport: è uno stile di vita fatto di adrenalina, momenti indimenticabili e profonda connessione con la natura.

Costruire una comunità

Per condividere questa passione, ho creato la pagina Instagram KiteGirlsItalia, dove ho iniziato a pubblicare foto e video delle mie avventure e a interagire con altre kitegirls italiane. La pagina ha avuto un successo immediato, crescendo rapidamente nel tempo.

Trasformare la passione in professione

Nel 2018 ho deciso di diventare istruttrice certificata di kitesurf. Ho iniziato a organizzare camp per ragazze che volevano imparare o migliorare le proprie abilità, collaborando con scuole e strutture in Italia e all'estero. Questi camp sono stati un'occasione speciale per incontrare persone con la mia stessa passione, fare nuove amicizie e divertirci insieme.

Espandere la visione

Nel 2021 ho registrato ufficialmente i brand KiteGirlsItalia e KiteGirlsWorldwide per dare maggiore riconoscimento e professionalità alle community. Ho iniziato a studiare social media marketing e a collaborare con diversi brand che condividono la mia stessa visione.

Un sogno globale realizzato

Il sogno è cresciuto e nel 2021 ho creato KiteGirlsWorldwide — una community globale su Instagram che celebra la visione al femminile del nostro sport, la creatività, il coraggio e il legame con la natura.

È uno spazio di pace, dove kitegirls da tutto il mondo condividono contenuti esclusivi e si ispirano a vicenda. Parallelamente, ho lanciato un canale YouTube dove condivido consigli e tips sul kite in giro per il mondo.

Guardando avanti

Oggi KiteGirlsWorldwide è presente su tutte le principali piattaforme social, continuando a crescere come una community vivace che offre opportunità di connessione, formazione, divertimento ed empowerment per le kitegirls di tutto il mondo.

Questo è solo l'inizio, e con l'aiuto e l'entusiasmo di tutti speriamo di trasformarlo in qualcosa di davvero bello e unico.
