Cetara La Divina - Amalficoast

Come si fa a descrivere a parole il proprio home spot?

Ci sono così tanti ricordi, emozioni, sensazioni che non potranno mai essere veramente raccontate.

Ma partiamo dall'inizio...

 il mio home spot è Cetara,un piccolo borgo di pescatori ai piedi del monte Falerio, vicinoVietri sul Mare; il borgo con i suoi vicoli pieni di negozi e ristorantini i è un posto incantevole che ha lasciato invariato il suo antico fascino marinaro, ancora immune al turismo di massa. Il paese è immerso in una profonda vallata, tra vigneti e agrumeti, ed ha una delle più belle spiagge della costiera amalfitana, in provincia di Salerno.

La Costiera Amalfitana è conosciuta in tutto il mondo per la sua bellezza. Considerata Patrimonio dell'umanità dell'UNESCO, e non tutti sanno che è un luogo perfetto per imparare il kiteboarding.

Chi ama fare kite in costiera ha, però, la necessità di fare "lift" e cioè di uscire a largo con il gommone, questo per due motivi fondamentali: il primo è che nel salernitano le spiagge in estate sono sempre molto affollate per la presenza di tantissimi lidi lungo il litorale e il secondo è che il vento non riesce ad arrivare a riva a causa della conformazione della costa. La scuola di cui faccio parte @amalficoastkiteboarding ha pensato di offrire questo servizio di lift in gommone per permettere a noi salernitani di uscire a fare Kite in completa sicurezza.

Il periodo migliore per fare kite in questa zona è da fine maggio fino a settembre con un vento termico giornaliero che garantisce dai 10 fino ai 25 nodi, ottimo per fare lezione o per imparare nuove manovre. L'acqua della costiera è tendenzialmente piatta, pulita a volte un po' "choppata" quando il vento aumenta.

Il paesaggio è spettacolare, con il gommone si arriva davanti Cetara ,e dal mare è possibile scorgere casette di mille colori incastonate nel verde rigoglioso dei Monti lattari, inoltre si possono intravedere tantissimi windsurf che con le vele spiegate escono dal porto e sembrano venirci incontro per salutarci; lo spazio di mare dove facciamo generalmente Kite va da Erchie ,un'altra perla della costiera, a Cetara, lì si lanciano i kite che precedentemente abbiamo preparato a terra e con l'aiuto degli istruttori in pochi minuti siamo in acqua ...è bellissimo fare Kite in questo piccolo angolo di Paradiso! un pro kiter in visita per un evento organizzato dalla scuola, mi disse una volta che gli sembrava di stare alle Hawaii!

Il vento è quasi sempre costante e ci permette di provare tutte le diverse manovre; infatti, per me Cetara è stata fondamentale per tutto quello che ho imparato.

Le sensazioni che ti regala questo spot sono incredibili, forse tutta l'esperienza lo è . 

Alle volte, dopo fatto kite, tutti insieme andiamo a mangiare in qualche ristorantino sul mare oppure in mancanza di vento ci facciamo il bagno in una delle calette da sogno che offre il luogo.

Dopo aver passato una giornata così quando rientri a casa si è stanchi ma felici e ripensando al senso di libertà e alla spensieratezza che ci regala questo sport e alle persone che lo condividono con te, ci si rende conto di quanto si possa essere fortunati ad amare questo sport.

Così io mi sono innamorata del kiteboarding... in questo luogo spettacolare che consiglio a tutti di visitare almeno una volta nella vita!

How do you describe your home spot in words? There are so many memories, emotions, feelings that can never really be told.
But let's start from the beginning... my home spot is Cetara, a small fishing village at the foot of Mount Falerio, near Vietri sul Mare; the village with its alleys full of shops and restaurants is a lovely place that has left unchanged its ancient maritime charm, still immune to mass tourism. The village is immersed in a deep valley, among vineyards and citrus groves, and has one of the most beautiful beaches of the Amalfi Coast, in the province of Salerno.
The Amalfi Coast is known worldwide for its beauty. Considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and not everyone knows that it is a perfect place to learn kiteboarding.
Who loves to make kite on the coast has, however, the need to do "lift" and that is to go out to sea with the dinghy, this for two fundamental reasons: The first is that in Salerno the beaches in summer are always very crowded due to the presence of many beaches along the coast and the second is that the wind can not get to the shore because of the conformation of the coast. The school of which I am part @amalficoastkiteboarding has thought to offer this service of lift in dinghy to allow us salernitani to go out to make Kite in complete safety.
The best time to do kite in this area is from June to September with a daily thermal wind that guarantees from 10 up to 25 knots, great for teaching or learning new maneuvers. The coastal water tends to be flat, sometimes a little "choppata" when the wind increases.
The landscape is spectacular, with the inflatable boat you get in front of Cetara, and from the sea you can see houses of a thousand colors set in the lush green of the Monti lattari, also you can see many windsurfers who with their sails spread out out of the port and seem to meet us; The sea space where we do generally Kite goes from Cetara to Erchie, another pearl of the coast, there we launch kites that we have previously prepared on land and with the help of instructors in a few minutes we are in the water ... It is beautiful to make Kite in this little corner of Paradise! a pro kiter visiting for an event organized by the school, he once told me he felt like he was in Hawaii!
The wind is almost always constant and allows us to try all the different maneuvers; in fact, for me Cetara was fundamental for everything I learned.
The sensations that this spot gives you are incredible, maybe the whole experience is. Sometimes, after kite, all together we go to eat in some restaurant on the sea or in the absence of wind we bathe in one of the dream coves that offers the place.
After spending a day like this when you return home you are tired but happy and thinking about the sense of freedom and carefree that gives us this sport and the people who share it with you, you realize how lucky you can be to love this sport.
So I fell in love with kiteboarding... in this spectacular place that I recommend everyone to visit at least once in their life!
